Backup best practice with Centera
Hello members,
can you explain how to backup un server runing DiskXtender (6.2 patch 1) with Centera.
I want backup (Networker 7.2.2 ) all the files (files purged in Centera).
I must setting :
"Fast Backup" on properties option ion each drive ?
on service properties option "Enable special application filtering" with all Networker 's services "Direct read" or "Not recall" ?
It's not very clear in documentation.

I don't think Special Application filtering is required for Networker. Direct Read means DX will fetch the file back from the Centera for the backup application.
No recall means DX will not fetch the file back from the Centera.
My understanding is that Networker supports DiskXtender without any special configuration. You may want to post your question to the Networker Forum.
Contact support and request the DiskXtender Best Practices Guide. The guide contains an entire chapter on Centera which may help.
