AppleTalk file access-speed issue

I have DX 5.60.049 on a 3.4 GHz dual-processor HP DL380. DX is managing a 1.9 Tb external SATA raid with 2 shares. Both shares are windows and appletalk shares.
Before running the first archive and purge, windows and mac machines had a fast access time to the SATA shares, but afterwards the macs wait up to ten minutes to open directories. Windows machines are still fast.
Other mac/win shares on the same machine (but SCSI RAID) are not affected.

Questions: Is this normal? If it is normal, can it be "fixed"?

Thanks

I can recommend you not to archive Mac files at all. First of all, DX doesn't support Direct Read on files created by Macintosh and 2nd of all, Meta-data export fails for some reason. Tech.support couldn't find the reason why exactly it fails and just recommended not to archive the Mac files. It works just fine after that.

Thx, Serge.
