Adding a Group in the security tab of a folders properties blocked

I have a folder that DiskXtender is setup to backup that I'm try to add another domain group to access the folder but the folder is unable to save the security setting. When I click on OK or Apply it just hangs and after a little bit I can click in the folder properties window and it will say the it is (Not Responding).

I can add groups to any other folder on the server that DiskXtender is not set to backup.

Can anyone let me know what I need to do in order to add additional groups/users to be able to access the folder?

Thank you,
John

Are you saying you are using DiskXtender to backup a folder?
I suspect that there is something is your environment preventing you to add security permission to the group.

You may want to try login to the DX server using DX service account..And then re-add the group.

Try going into Device Manager, Clicking on View, Choose "Show Hidden Devices". In the "Non-Plug and Play Drivers", Right-Click "DxSpy Filter Driver" and choose Disable. Reboot server. Make your changes. Go back into Device Manager and Enable "DxSpy Filter Driver:, then reboot.
