Active Directory Authentication
Does anyone know if DiskXtender work with a Windows 2003 Active Directory, specifically using Domain Groups?
I'm having an issue currently where I have a domain group (Domain\Group1) in the DxAdministrators, DxSecurityAdmins, DxUsers, MsAdministrators, MsSecurityAdmins, and MsUsers local groups. In the Domain\Group1 group I have two users, UserA and UserB. UserB is the account utilized as the service account for MediaStor and FSM and is also a member of the local DxSecurityAdmins and MsSecurityAdmins groups.
My problem comes in that UserA cannot make any changes in MediaStor and/or FSM as it does not appear to have any permissions. If I move UserA from the domain group and specifically place it in the local groups then everything works great. The other issue is that the service account, even though it is in the local Administrators group, also has to be specifically listed with Full Control permissions on the extended drive.
So from what I'm seeing so far it does not appear that DiskXtender likes Windows domain groups. Anyone else see this? Any ideas on how to get it working? Thanks.
