Restart problems after driver installation

I downloaded 7 drivers from the Dell site, and installed.  During the restart my laptop froze, it's been stuck on the Restart Screen for an hour.

I'm well versed in tech, but I'm really flummoxed. I've never had a problem before when installing drivers from a manufacturers site. I didn't want to be hasty, but I think by now the drivers should be installed. 

Any advice?
