webcams
can i connect a webcam through my COM1 port? if so where can i find a webcam that has a 9-pin serial connector? is there such a thing as a USB-to-Serial adaptor?

I think you'll have a hard time finding a serial webcam, but if you're really determined I'd suggest you start looking at http://www.pricewatch.com.
There is such a thing as a USB to serial adapter. Click here to see one made by Belkin.
