SBLive Sound Blaster

Under my warranty, I recently had my SBLive Sound Card replaced because of the DEVLDR.exe error message.  My sound card being bad was the supposed reason for this error message.  Anyway, I am now once again getting this message. The technician that come to my house to replace that card told me that my sound card wasn't actually bad but that I just needed to do he updates for the driver.  So now that I'm getting this message again with a NEW sound card in place, I tried doing the update.  however, it gets to the last section where it says something like "Updating your drivers, this may take a few minutes...".  Well after 2 hours I came back to my PC and it was still waiting and the program was not responding.  Does anyone ever had this problem or any advice?  My warranty runs out in about a month so I'm trying to get this fixed quickly.
