JAVA PROBLEM??

By explanation: I am a paid member of a game site. Recently, I can enter the site, but cannot download any of the games to play, getting a message that the JAVA is either corrupt or missing.
I then try to download the JAVA and get the following message:

Java(TM) Plug-In Fatal Error

The Java Runtime Environment cannot be loaded from  <\bin\hotspot\jvm.dll>

I have no idea what that message means nor how to correct the problem. I have a Dell, wins 2000, Version 5.0 (Build 2195:Service Pack4); memory: 523,220 KB

I use Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106  ~  128 Bit ~ Update Versions: SP1; Q823353

Can anyone help? I am not 'computer savvy' so please remember that in any replies. Thanks. Pat

Start with a full virus scan with a completely updated virus scanner. Then follow with a deep scan using AdAware (www.lavasoftusa.com).

Then update your system with all Windows critical patches.
