Dimension 4550 Video Card Which AGP?
Which type of AGP port does the Dimension 4550 have (ie. 2x, 4x)?
PROCESSOR, 80532, 2.53, 512K, 533, SOCKET N, C1
I currently have a Visiontek ATI Radeon 9250 installed and was told that video card will not support a widescreen monitor (I got the Dell 2007fpw).
Any recommendations on a cheap video card thats good for gaming (Games like COD and C&C) also would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Your PC has a 2X/4X Video Slot and a 4X Video Controller.

I think a Card like a Nvidia 6600 AGP or ATI X800 AGP would be pretty inexpensive and provide the needed resolution for the widescreen monitor and also moderate gaming.
EDIT: You can use 4X/8X Video Cards as they are backward compatable to your 2X/4X video slot.

Thank you everyone for your help. I also found this on another forum with this answer incase anyone else has the same graphics card:
I saw some one asking if an ATI Radeon 9250 card can drive an ACER AL2016W
TFT display at it's native 1680x1050 resolution. The short answer is: yes it
can because I'm writing this using that set-up.
Here's how to do it.
Be sure to have installed the latest CatalystControlCenter (needs the .NET
Framework 1.1) My version is 1.2.2128.637. Run it and under View Switch to
Advanced mode. Open Monitor properties 0 in the treeview and select HDTV
Support. Next turn on "Add 1080i in the Displays Manager" and Apply. Next
switch to Displays Manager and there you can select 1680x1050 in High (32
bit) color at 60 Hz. Looks absolutely gorgeous!
