computer will not boot to bios or anything

Dell 8100. I haven't used the computer for several weeks and when I hooked mouse, keyboard, monitor etc. up and turned it on, it does nothing. I tried a different monitor, same results. I tried a different video card, same results. I replaced the battery, same results. I am baffled as the computer just sat there by itself with nothing hooked up to it, and now it is dead. Worked great before. Help please. Thanks in advance. I am not expert but have basic skills.

i do not know about dell support but the cards that dont look like memory should go in slots 2 and 4 and the actual memory should go in slots 1 and 3 the problem is that your PC need at least 2 WORKING ram cards to boot

that is the original configuation. So I think that I see that all slots must be filled with either memory module or a continuity rimm to make computer think all slots have memory. Is this correct?

ok how are the slots numbered? Is slot the closest to the processor? I have read up about the other cards and found them to be crimm cards. Thanks for keeping with me.

I don't know where you are getting your information, but on every 8100 I have ever dealt with the matched slots are 1-2 and 3-4, not 1-3, 2-4!

So does it matter what slot is used by the memory module or crimm? Should

any combination work as long as all 4 slots are filled?
