Can u set pc to auto-shutdown?

Hi, is there a way to program a set amount of time before your computer could automatically shut itself down. I would really like to fall asleep listenin to music w/o having to manually shut off the computer.

RDS_SKATER:

Hibernate is supposed to do that but many people find it's a quirky feature. But give it a try.

There is no difference between hibernate and turning your computer off as far as power consumption. Even a powered down computer will still use a trickle of electricity, just like a TV. The difference is that when your computer hibernates, it saves the current desktop (with apps and files being used), and when turned back on it will restore that desktop.

Hibernate first saves the contents of the RAM into a special file (saves the state of the computer prior to hibernation) then shuts down. When you turn the computer back on later it starts up from the file, as a result it will resume from in the state at which the computer was in prior to hibernation.
