Zoning based on WWN & Switch Port
Hi
We have DELL Blade M1000e enclosures, Brocade 5100 switches and EMC CX-240 SAN. We created zones based on WWNs of SAN and server HBAs. Now for the production server for the better performance we are planning to dedicate ports on Blade enclosuer as well with Brocade switches. How it's possible to accomplish this kind of zoning.

WWN zoning is recommend by both Dell and EMC but port zoning is supported, in the switch web tools, enter zone administration. Then from the view menu you can select your zoning method.

Port zoning itself wouldn't make a difference in regards to performance.
Or do you want to take a certain external port and have 1 server (blade) use that port to connect to the rest of your fabric or your array, and other servers use other external ports?
