VxBlock Unity storage firmware upgrade.

Im currently doing a research to upgrade the firmware of Unity Storages from 5.0.3 to 5.3.1 and before jumping into this big upgrade i need to check if all commponents  are compatible to 5.3.1 version too and that it wont cause a problem upgrading..Also i would appreciate all the infos i could get into what risks should i be concerned before upgrading and if i should jump directly to this version or go to older ones.Currently the health score of CloudIQ is 94 which means it puts it on a Fair section,and also any other info or help about this upgrade would be very helpful.Thank you.
