Uninitialize an AX4-5

Been landed with a project started by an ex colleague. I need to uninitialize or reset to default an AX4-5 so that I can start again. I have run the Navishpere Storage system initialization wizard but it does not find the device. I know that the connections are all OK as I can see another initialized device connected the same way.

All I can assume is that the ex-colleague has used IP addresses that are not from our network fro testing purposes and he has not recorded them.

Please can someone assist with a bit of insight.

Many thanks

Verify that the storage system is booted properly, based on the Boot LEDs.  Each storage processor will flash a different rates while it is booting, the turn solid when booted.

If the array is booting properly, and the host running the Navishpere Storage System Initialization Wizard are on the same physical subnet, it should find the array.  You can then determine the IP Addresses, regardless sunbet what they are configured to.

If you need to reset the password, the information is on the FAQ page of the AX4-5 support site at:  http://emc.com/dell-ax4support

Thanks for your reply. I have verified that the SP lights are both on solid which indicates that the device has booted correctly. I do not know what subnet it is on and this may be the problem. I will try to change the subnet on the test Server and see if that helps.

Any other pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks
