Recovering AX100 Flare OS

Hi -

I have an AX100 and AX100SC, neither under support/warranty and now only 25 days from EOL. I upgraded the Flare OS (2.19)  through Navisphere, and it seemed to work, however, now Navisphere isn't responding. I have tried reinitializing the arrays (which I can do through the initialization utility), and I can ping the IP addresses, but the web interface isn't responding.

There are no blinking SP lights (solid green). I have connected via the serial interface and gone into the DBBMS sub menu and verified the network management port settings.

I have the .zip file for the FLARE OS, but don't have any of the image files or enablers. Any ideas on how I can resurrect these?  I'm pretty sure I can get them running if I have the right access and files.

Thanks.

If they are Dell|EMC boxes, you may want to open a case with Dell|EMC support. Even if you're out of warranty, support on the unit is lifetime. Something like what you're running into probably may require engaging them for assistance.

I just opened a ticket, and was told that T&M couldn't assist me as there was no maintenance/support agreement in place. If I want any technical help, I apparently need to renew maintenance, and I don't know that we can do that as the array was just going to be for development purposes. Because I attempted a Flare OS upgrade, that's one of the things the T&M group was instructed to not help on without a contract in place.

Any other thoughts?

Odd, my experience with Dell|EMC support in the US is that they generally will assist with things like this; they didn't even offer a maintenance option (for Dell to do flare upgrades) back when the AX100 was sold.

You can try to go to the /setup page, or from the http://www.emc.com/dell-ax100support page look for the "replace" option and select the "replace SP boot image".

Hi a long shot, put do you still have a copy of the AX100_Series-Bundle-02.19.100.5.048.zip file set, i seem to have screwed up my SAN and it looks like i need to try and recover it from this OS file before it goes in the bin.  Many thanks in advance, and sorry for the cheeky indirect apporach.
