Raid Storage Manager - ERROR

Hi,

We have a Dell poweredge SC420server. Last week we had a faild hard drive (HD), so i changed the 2nd hard drive to be in Port 0 and installed a new HD (same size but different make) to be in Port 1.

I had some help to set the HD's up and now in the Raid Storage Manager i can see the second hard drive. When i click rebuild it starts but gets to 85% and then freezes and also freezes the full machine.

 

We are running windows server 2003

Sharepoint Services

We also use this machine as our shared drive

In Raid Storage Manager it shows both HD's

Port 0 152492mb (firmware YAR5)

Port 1 152587mb (firmware JPE0)  - this HD has a red X on the picture - but you can left click and choose Rebuild Drive

 

I tought maybe its because the machine is in use so it sticks on a file that is being used, but i am unable to see how you run an offline rebuild.
