Outlook Express Email Storage
I don't know if I am under the correct topic, but does anyone know where to find your compressed email files?? A box came up asking if I would like to free up disk space & compress emails. I answered yes & have lost all emails in my inbox which I need. Help!

Actually you landed in the Servers forum (Software would've been more appropriate), but I can see where the "storage" might throw you off.
Anyhow. Outlook Express mail folders (called .dbx files) are buried fairly deep in Documents and Settings, but if your inbox isn't actually corrupted you may be able to import it back in and get the emails back. See this link for details:

If that doesn't work, there are any number of third-party programs out there that supposedly can recover corrupted .dbx files (just Google "Outlook Express Recovery Software" ), but as I've never needed to use one can't recommend any particular software.
Stuff happens - backing up all your important files regularly to an external source is a lot easier than trying to salvage it after the fact. Here's how to back those emails up.
