NFS and CIFS Permissions

Hi,

I have created a container and enabled NFS and CIFS shares. NFS is allowed to be accessible from 192.168.1.2 and CIFS is allowed from 192.168.1.3

When i create a directory "Company" in 192.168.1.1:/container/share1 i am able to access same container share1 from CIFS but unable to access this "Company" directory in this container share1.

I am using DR4000

Hello Impetus123,

From what you posted it looks like you are trying to mount the subdirectory. Have you tried to mount the “Share1” first & then see if you can browse the files & gain access?

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

When i faced this issue so went back to linux m/c and chmod 777 to share1/xyz.

then ls -l  shows drwxrwxrwx but still not able to go into xyz from cifs.
