Need new SP image for Dell/EMC AX100i

Greetings:

I have come into the ownership of a Dell/EMC AX100i system.  It has an issue where SP A will not boot but SP B does.  I know it's software related because I have a second SP chassis and the problem remains with the drives and does not follow the chassis.

After multiple hours of searching, I come across a bit about how to replace the SP image on the hard drives (in an EMC document none the less).  Problem is: it requires an image file - something that doesn't appear to be readily available anywhere.

Is there a way to extract the FLARE files out of the update ZIP file?  Is there some other place where the update files can be downloaded from?  Am I hosed?

This will require engaging Dell|EMC support or EMC (depending on if it's a Dell or EMC unit). The recovery image files are only available to Dell|EMC support and EMC support people.

To get support on the unit it'll need to be registered in your name. I don't think it would have to be under warranty if it's a Dell branded unit as their support on Dell|EMC equipment is 'lifetime' (warranty covers replacing hardware if something fails).

The SP Image Replacement procedures are located on the Dell | EMC AX100 support site at http://www.emc.com/dell-ax100support then click on replace and choose Restore SP boot Image.  In that document, on pages 8 & 9, it states where the image is located within the utility partition, if there is no image in the utility partition, then you will need to contact Dell tech support for the recovery image that matches the FLARE revison currently running on the other SP.
