ML6000 License Files
I have a Dell ML6020 that we purchased from Dell quite some time ago. We had a failure on the CF Card attached to the LCB after a power failure. We replaced the LCB and CF Card with another one from another ML6020 we purchased from Dell but have since retired. That fixed the unit, but we lost our license file so our storage slots are not licensed. We went to...
and
http://www11.quantum.com/COD/OA_HTML/xx_license/dell/search.jsp But when we input our service tag and serial number it just says 'library not found'. Anybody know how to retrieve the storage slot license files for a ML6020 that is out of support if that website will not work?
Thank you.

Hello Erked,
Have you tried to insert the old CF card into the replacement LCB to see if it boots? There is not another way to get the license information without contacting support in your case if the old CF card doesn’t work.

I tried putting the old CF card in the new LCB first...same problem. It seems to be the CF card that is the issue, not the LCB.
I tried contacting support multiple times, but since this ML6020 is out of maintenance, that went nowhere. I don't need any parts...I just need the license codes but without valid maintenance on that unit I can not get a ticket open.
Thanks.

No. I have been searching and searching trying to find a old configuration backup of that unit. No luck so far. I have found configuration backups of multiple other ML6000's we have...just not that one. So..no snapshot logs.
I am able to read the old CF card on a CF card reader. I was hoping I might find the license keys on there but no luck so far. Readable...just will not boot.
Thanks.

Hello Erked,
Do you happen to have an old snapshot log from your ML6000? If you do you can use that to find your COD license.

Hello Erked,
Ok the only other way is to pay the out of warranty fee so that support can look it up to find the COD license.

Do you know how much the out of warranty fee is?
