A SAS drive (or SATA drive with an interposer board) has 2 communication channels (in that 1 connector). If one of these fails it could cause this message.
So my first thought would be a failing drive and you'll want to replace it.

Thank you very much for the reply
Q: How do I know which drive is failed, we have already collected logs from the storage but I have little need for a guide in which to watch after the event.
I found in "majorEventLog.txt", some entries like:
Date / Time: 5/26/13 12:00:22 AM
Sequence number: 57 725
Event type: 100D
Event category: Error
Priority: Informational
Description: Timeout on physical disk of the RAID controller module side
Event specific codes: 0/0/0
Component type: Physical Disk
Component location: Enclosure 1, Slot 3
Date / Time: 5/25/13 4:25:58 AM
Sequence number: 57 722
Event type: 100D
Event category: Error
Priority: Informational
Description: Timeout on physical disk of the RAID controller module side
Event specific codes: 0/0/0
Component type: Physical Disk
Component location: Enclosure 1, Slot 5
it is fair to assume that these disk are failed or should I look elsewhere?
