MD1000
Hello friend, I have a doubt a long time about it, I wonder now if I can put more hard on my MD1000 today only have 6 disks allocated each 1TB, it is directly connected to a server via "DAS" if I put more discs can do for example a separate unit or even unify the discs?
Thanks very much and sorry for the my bad English.

On the MD1000 you will need to see what mode the enclosure is in. If you are in Split bus mode then when you add the new drives you will need to create a new VD. If you are in unified mode then you should be able to add those disks to the VD that you have created. The switch to see what mode you are in is located in the front left hand side when you are looking at the front of the enclosure. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Kenny, thanks very much for your attention, but in this case I have only one server configured on the MD1000, no problem I can do normally? Because I was seeing what was possible when I had another server and stuff, so I got this doubt, I know other models MD1200 MD1000 but I was confused whether or not I could add more disk, in which case I can then further drives more smoothly that will work? And need to enable Split Bus?
Thanks

You can add more drives without an issue. I would recommend making sure the driver and firmware on the Raid Controller are both up to date. What position is that switch currently in?

Thanks... is in the normal position, because I have only 5 discs, from 0 to 5, the switch is in the up position it's a unique way.
Thanks very much
