MD1000 - How to open the case.
Hi everyone i am tying to figure out how to open the case of the MD1000, i need to replace the Perc controller battery, but this server seems impossible. Cant find any video on how to open it up so am throwing it out before i break something.

Hi Sam the MD1000 is connected to a PowerEdge 2950, i am going to check the card its connected to as you suggest.

Hello KingHayeD,
With an MD1000 the PERC battery is on the PERC controller that is in your server. You will want to see which card that your MD1000 is connected to on your server & then that is the battery that will need to be replaced. What model is your server that your MD1000 connected to?
