LUN Carving for Optimum IO Performance
What exactly is LUN Carving.I? How is it different from binding.
How to create freepool?
How to allocate from freepool to carved LUN?
Does it have any downtime
I am using a CX300 which has a max capacity of 60 drives i.e 4 enclosures
Should carving be across enclosures to get optimal IO performance, or should they be on same enclosure?

"Carving LUNs" is generally the term used to describe creating raid groups and binding LUNs.
I'm not sure what you mean with "freepool". This is not a term used in EMC's Navisphere.
