Lost connection to LUN PS4100X SAN
I have a customer that has lost access to one LUN on a PS4100X SAN. Of course the VMs are also inaccessible. We have other LUNs that have VMs on them that are up and running. Customer says all drive light are green and we haven't recieved any disk warnings. We also cannot access the Web UI, but can SSH into device. I have no experience with SANs so am not sure what to do once I'm in.

Hello mcrocket,
Since you can SSH into your PS4100X you should be able to login to group manager. You might need a different version of java to access group manager. If you use the ip address/ welcome it will install java so that you can connect to group manager.
There are many reason that the LUN can show as offline and without looking into group manager you will need to have the CLI guide to do it via SSH.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello,
Curious to know if you got this resolved?
Since other volumes were OK, that means the RAIDsets and enough drives to keep working are fine.
When a RAIDset goes down. all volumes go offline.
A common scenario is if you used thin provisioned volumes and the total volume size exceeds the available space, you can have just one volume go offline.
It's also possible for a condition know as 'lost blocks' to occur on a single volume and by default the volume is put offline.
These conditions will show up in the GUI or at the CLI.
Regards,
Don
