Issues trying to get TSM to use a DD VTL as a backup location.
I know that the attachments I've added here are TSM related, but in case this issue is on the DD side of things I thought I'd post this here. If you have a better forum for me to ask this question on I'd appreciate the suggestion.
I'm currently trying to setup a Dell EMC Data Domain VTL as a backup location for our TSM server. The VTL is a TS3500 with three LTO-5 drives. I've followed all the documentation regarding how to set up a tape library as a backup location supplemented with the few pages on making this work as a VTL.
I used this TSM to tape solution guide: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/SSEQVQ_8.1.12/srv.solutions/b_tape_solution.pdf
as well as this VTL specific guide:
Everything worked great up until the labeling and checking in of the tape volumes. When I attempt to do this I get a variety of error messages on the TSM server. It seems as though the library isn't loading the tapes into the drives.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the "label libvolume" command with the search=yes option should command the library to automatically load all the tapes correct?
I've attached images of the errors, as well as an image of the library showing all drives and the changer displaying as online.
