Install VMware Tools on Equallogic VSM
Hello, We are currently running VSM 4.7 in our Vmware 6.5 infrastructure, however the VMWare tools are not installed. How do we get the tools installed? Clicking the Install Tools link only seems to mount the ISO on the VM. I can't find any documentation on this.

Thanks Sam,
However, I already downloaded that and read through it. It does not explain how to install vmware tools onto the VSM virtual appliance. Is there some sort of script that you need to run when the vmware tools ISO is mounted to the VM?

Hello zachplacer,
If you have an Equallogic account you can log in, and under the download for VSM 4.7 there is a spot that says Installation & Users guide. Here is a link to the guide, make sure your logged in otherwise the link will not work. https://eqlsupport.dell.com/support/download_file.aspx?id=3393

Like most (virtual) appliances, I don't believe you should install the VMware tools at all on the VSM.

Hello zachplacer,
As Dev Mgr stated you don’t want to install VSM on VSM. You will need to use group manager to manage yo8r EQL system.
