You'll want to ask this in the laptop area, not the (SAN/Tape/NAS) storage area, but I think you've got bigger problems than a faulted drive. Just remove the drive and try to power up, if it does, then you are probably right about the faulted drive, but I suspect your issue will persist and confirm my suspision that you have a different hardware issue.
