Extending C drive from D drive
like many people i am having problems with the way my c an d drives are proportioned. it was recomended that i either delete my d drive or shrink my d drive an use the space to extend my c drive. i was able to shrink my d drive but was unable to extend my c drive. anyone else have this problem and or no how to fix it

You didn't mention your OS, but based on the fact that you mentioned you shrunk your D-drive, I assume you have Windows 2008 or Windows 2008 R2.
Barring going with dynamic disk (really not recommended on top of hardware raid), your only 2 choices are:
- back up the data on your D-drive, delete the D-partition, then right click the C-partition (in disk management) and select to extend it. Once extended, recreate the D partition and restore your data
- purchase a partition management application (e.g. Acronis Disk Director for Servers) and you can then move your D-partition 'to the right' after which you can extend your C-partition.
