DR4x00 Replication
I am trying to set up replication from a DR4100 to a DR4000 and get the following when creating the replication: "Error: Invalid replication peer: Same error if I try from the dr4000 to the DR4100. Both are at firmware 3.1.2015.0. The BIOS is different between them.
There is a firewall between them, but I have allowed access on ports 9904, 9911, 9915 and 9916
Any suggestions?

Hello Maxwell,
Are both of your DR4xxx in the same Domain? Also when creating the relationships at which step do you get the error from the Administrator guide on page 73 - 74. http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/Common/DRSeriesAdministrator%20Guide2_en-us.pdf
I would say that based on your error that either you have an issue with the credentials of the user account or that there is a connection issue between the 2 DR’s.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for the reply. Neither unit is in a Domain.
I may have found the issue, though. I re-tried the configuration with the CLI, and it would not accept the dns name of the receiving unit, but worked with the ip address. I have since found out the there is no reverse lookup for the dns name.
