DELL|EMC AX100
Dear DELL Community Members,
I'm currently struggling with a used DELL|EMC AX100 which I try to reset in order to do a fresh installation/configuration of the system.
I've tried to reset the system by pressing the power-button as discribed in the documentation. However, the storage system initialization wizard doesn't find the storage system. I've also restored both SP Boot Images using the serial console successfully. However still, the storage system initialization wizard doesn't find the storage system.
Using a network sniffer shows, that the former configured IP-Addresses for the both (Mgmt-)Network controller are still valid. But connecting to navisphere express using Internet Explorer doesn't work. If I direct my browser to http://ip-address_of_SP_A I'm redirected to https://ip-address_of_SP_A but the screen stays blank.
Currently the system is running on FLARE OE Version 02.19.102.5.014.
I've used storage system initialization wizard versions 6.20.0.3.11 and 6.19.1.0.0 without success.
Does anybody know which version of the storage system initialization wizard I do have to use in order to discover the system (The mgmt-PC is connected to the same physical subnet as the mgmt-ports of the storage system)?
Also any other comment, helping to get the system up an running are very welcome!
Best Regards,
Robert

Either of those 2 versions of the initialization wizard should work just fine; the version you use has to be the same base version of the flare that the array is running, or a later version (so, as your flare is 02.19, the init tool should be 6.19 or later).
Be sure to have both SPA and SPB into the same ethernet switch and the system from which you're running the initialization wizard should also be plugged into that switch (maybe try a dummy hub to eliminate switch settings or so), and obviously also make sure there's no firewall blocking the utility.
Edit: the reset option only removes the password, it doesn't reset the array (IP, raid config, etc). Afterwards it's usually best to indeed run the init tool to create a new user/pw combo and optionally change the management IPs.
