Dell SC5020 SAN Storage

Apologies if this has been covered before. I am a newbie to this forum, so please be kind.

I have a Dell SC5020 SAN Storage device which is causing me some headaches. I have added 5 new SSD's  into the SAN and it has configured and rebalanced, however I am seeing that there is a new RAID created automatically, however I am seeing that RAID 5-9 is 97.95% full.  The last time this happened, the SAN went into Emergency mode and IO was halted.

There are no tiers. All drives are SSD, and are in the Intensive Read group. My question is why are the disks not part of the Initial RAID 10?  Is this normal behaviour? Why is the 5-9 volume full yet the 5-5 blank? This is not making any sense.

Hi,

Thanks for your question. The best option is to call phone support so that they can go through the logs and see why it didn’t rebalance the existing array.
