Dell MD3000i Individual Physical Disk - Degraded Path
Hello,
We ran into an issue yesterday with 3 errors, a impending drive failure, a individual physical disk - degraded path error, and a disk channel degraded path error. After replacing the drive the only error that remains is the following: Individual Physical Disk - Degraded Path. I have ran the following commands twice and the error still persists. I have pulled a support bundle as I have a feeling it will need to be reviewed. Summary below. Any ideas?
smcli -n -p password -c "clear allPhysicalDiskChannels stats;"
smcli -n -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [0] status=optimal;"
smcli -n -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [1] status=optimal;"
smcli -n -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [2] status=optimal;"
.smcli -n -p password -c "set physicalDiskChannel [3] status=optimal;"

Hello z3r0117x,
When you replaced the drive, did the drive come in a hdd caddy or no? If the drive didn’t come in a caddy then I think you forgot to remove the interposer board from the old drive & put it on the replacement drive.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hey Sam,
It did come with an hdd caddy already attached before opening the bag so it was just plug and play. Should I double check?

Hello z3r0117x,
Can I get a support bundle from your MD3000? I can look to make sure that is the case before you go & pull the drive to check. I will send you a private message so that you can send me the support bundle.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
