Dell MD3000i Firmware Upgrade problem
Dears ,
I got a problem , I upgraded my MD3000i NVSRAM firmware to 7.3 instead of 6.7 .
Now, I'm trying to upgrade the RAID controller Module firmware version ot 7.3 as well , but i couldn't access the file from MDSM .
i'm trying to select the file (compatible firmware files) doesn't recognize the firmware file and when trying to drop down to select all files and choose the firmware file i gives me below error :
is not a valid firmware transferable file ) ,
can you see attached error ?
would you mind helping me out of this ?

I recommend you call Dell Powervault support and create a case with them. If you update the firmware, and there is an update NVSRAM, you should apply both at the same time. If you only updated 1 of them, I don't know what it would result in.
If you are going from a generation 1 firmware (06-series) to a generation 2 firmware (07-series), you do need to use the cross-generation firmware update tool/application that comes with the latest version of MDSM for the MD3000i.

It comes with the resource DVD and automatically is installed with MDSM. If it didn't get installed you don't have the latest MDSM version for the MD3000i.
