Datasafe Online

Just arrived in the US. My Dell laptop stolen during British Airways flight. Having difficulty retrieving backup data from Dell DataSafe Online. Since my subscription expired Dell claims they can no longer give me a backup. Can you believe that Dell says they can no longer provide assistance in recovering my data? Anyone with ideas to restore my data?  HELP...

You posted in the Dell|EMC Storage Forum. Which model EMC SAN do you have? e.g. AX100, AX150, AX4-5, CX200-700, CX3-series or CX4-series?

While this does appear to be posted in the wrong forum (perhaps a moderator can move) I can try to answer your question. The TOS for DataSafe state that your data will only be retained as long as you hold an active subscription. There is a holding period after the subscription expires (don't recall the exact amount, 30 or 60 days sounds about right though). When did your subscription expire?

I think I posted in wrong forum.  Please redirect to right forum.  I had a simple Dell XPS M1330 laptop that was stolen and now need to access my backup data on Datsafe Online.  Subcription expired on may 25th.  All notices found in spam folder.  Dell, my only source of my data, no longer wants to give assistance to retrieve my data.  Help Help  Help.

dell datasafe keeps the info for 30 days after non payment . has it been longer than that? Also, if you can, contact your internet service providor, and ask for MAC address and IP address of your laptop. Then report it stolen online and maybe someone will log on with it.
