cx4-240 iscsi sources
We have an old SAN dell cx4-240 and Proxmox 5.1 cluster.
There are 4 ethernet iSCSI ports in the SAN. All the ports get into one switch and the nodes of the cluster are connected to it as well
(one link for each node).
There we have 4 virtual disks in SAN. And the situation is that:
It is said that this SAN represents itself like "a one device" (by iSCSI) for a cluster.
So, when different nodes of the cluster start writing on different virtual disks, all the traffic goes through the only one port of the SAN.
Therefore the speed is lower.
The main question: is it possible that this SAN looks like 4 different iSCSI sources on separate ethernet ports to get 4 disks connected to the cluster
with a dedicated port for each disk, so that the nodes of the cluster could write data simultaneously without the losing of speed?

Hello scamp1,
Are all your LUN’s /virtual disk owned by one SP, or are they split between both SP’s? Since you have 4 Lun’s it is best to have them split 2 Lun’s per SP. With the LUNS split 2 per SP you should see an increase in performance.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.
