We are currently using Powerpath VE 6.0.1 for VMware, and the version is not available to download on the dell-emc website. We would like to know if we can use the higher version of Powerpath VE 6.3 in the ESXi 6.7 U3.

Hello Je-M,

You don’t have to install both, as you can just install PowerPath-VE 6.3 for VMWare vSphere Install SW.  If you need the stand-alone tools bundle, then you can install the bundle later.  I would download both so that you have them.

Is it okay to install the powerpath 6.3 to ESXi 6.7 u3 without a license of powerpath? what happens without using a license and do you have a procedure on how to install the powerpath into ESXi?

Hello Je-M,

If you look at the release notes it will list out the fixes and enhancements that are in the latest release.  With EMC systems upgrades, patches, & enhancements are done in firmware upgrades.
