CD that should be shipped with Poweredge -- missing and unable to install operating system, unable to download files

It is 2 am in the morning.  I have been trying without success since 7PM last night to BEGIN the install of my operating system on a new server that I purchased and shipped two day air from dell.  I have spoken to 7 people either by phone, email or chat.   If I sound cranky and a bit cross it is because I am.  I have been up since 6 AM yesterday and I need my server to get my accounting and sales onlline.  I really don't have time for this.

Apparently my server was shipped with the server, a mouse, a keyboard and two power cords.  Nothing else.  Not even a scrap of paper to tell you what was in the box.  Missing is the CD with the dell utilities including the controller drivers that are needed for the setup of the operating system to recognize the harddrives during the install.

I have tried numerous things to get this files.  I tried downloading them to a usb flash drive.  Nope.  Doesn't work.  I tried down loading them to a CD.  Nope.  Not either.  One nice gentleman at Dell found some files and thought they might do the trick.  Nope -- not even after they took nearly an hour for me to download and then burn to a cd.  perhaps it is not just the missing files?  Perhaps the DVD in the computer itself is part of the issue? One guy told me that I needed to purchase a DVD burner or purchase a external / USB harddrive to get the files.   Six and half hours later the server sits there in the exact same shape as when it came out of the box.  Can someone say this will probably be the ONLY server I ever buy from Dell?  Yeah.  A good bet.

I was told my someone else at dell that the earliest I might expect the CD (which should have been shipped with the system under 2 day shipping) is 5 to 7 business days.  I asked why couldn't someput just put the CD in an overnight envelope -- it costs about $9.95.  Hell!  I will even pay the $9.95.  I was told they don't DO that.

Does anyone have an idea?  Anyone have a Dell Poweredge 300 cd they might like to let me borrow ?  I wil gladley pay to overnight here and will return it to you.

Are you just dropping the ISO file on a CDR, or are you burning it as an image (using an image-burning-capable software package) to a CDR? It you are just dropping it on a CDR it indeed will never work (just like dragging and dropping the ISO onto a USB key wouldn't work).

Thank you for responding.  I am using something called to create the image.
