Cannot see AX4 disks on AIX 5.2

How am I suppose to see AX4 storage on an AIX host?

I have tier one storage on a CX500 and the usable disks show up as hdiskpower devices and the FC connections as hdisks.

I have now zoned a virtual disk to the same host, but from an AX4 machine.

lspv gives me a two more hdisks - I'm assuming it's the connections to the AX4,  but shouldn't the AX4 virtual disk show up as hdiskpower device?
