Can I add new hard drives into AIX150i when it is running

I have one AIX 150i disk array, and there are now 5 diks (4 hd to be configured RAID10 and another one is hot spare). I want to add 7 hard drives into it, can I insert these 7 hard drives into the disk array directly when it is running?

I want to configure these 7 hard drives as the following:

1. 3 hd to be configured RAID5

2. 4 hd to be configured RAID10

I can use the navisphere to configure them after they are been inserted disk array, right?

Thanks

Assuming you purchased AX150 drives, and your software version supports the drives you bought (some of the newer larger drives may need a software update if you're not running the latest flare version), with the system powered up you would slide in 1 drive at a time, wait 20-30 seconds and slide in the next drive and repeat this till all drives are in.

Then you can indeed use Navisphere Express (or Navisphere Manager if you upgraded) to create the new diskpools (raid groups in Navisphere Manager) and then the virtual disks (LUNs in Navisphere Manager) inside those.
