Backup Options for a M600 Blade accessing an AX4-5FC Array

Hi, I'm looking for some information regarding backing up a blade server to a Tape device.

I have a few M600 blade servers accessing a AX-4-5FC SAN. Does anyone know of a tape device that I can "connect" to the blade. I'm not even sure what I mean by connect as normally I would connect the tape unit to the server via SCSI but this is now not an option.

Is there a Fibre Channel backup unit available that can integrate with multiple blade servers? (The blade enclosure is a M1000e with Brocade 4424 FC switches)

Any help/comments appreciated.

Get a fiber channel tape library and connect it to the 4424 switches. You'll want to make sure you create separate zones for the tape library (not in the same zone as the AX4-5F). So for every server that needs tape access you'd have 1 zone for HBA-to-AX4-5F and another zone for HBA-to-TapeLibrary. You may even have the AX4-5F zoned with 2 zones; 1 for each path to a storage processor (i.e. one switch has for each server a unique zone to A0 and another zone to B1 and the other blade has zones for A1 and B0).

Thanks for this, - And yes the AX4-5F is zoned with 2 zones exactly as you have stated.
