AX4-5 : Serial cable/Hyperterm setup?
My AX4-5 came with a serial management cable, which I'd like to connect for an out-of-band solution (like, connect it to COM1 on a dial-in server and run Hyperterminal to get a command line). I've done this with all sorts of other devices, switches and routers and such, but I can't get the AX4-5 to talk to me. I set it up 9600-8-n-1, and it ain't working. Is this not possible? Or am I doing something wrong here?

Read the manual and you'll see the system is managed via the management NICs and the web interface that it runs. The serial connection is used to restore the OS if ever needed and a few other tech support things.
Run the initialization utility (available for most OSes), and it can find the array and let you assign the IP addresses.
