AX4-5 Drive Removal
Hello,
We have a legacy AX4-5 that's been out of support for some time. It is working fine but one of the drives has less capacity than the rest. Drive 7 is 687GB while the others are all 917GB. Drive 11 is a hot spare.
We have a handful of 917GB drives, and I would like to replace drive 7 with one of these larger capacity drives so they're all the same.
Using Navisphere Express, I see no options for failing this drive in order to replace it. Would I be OK just pulling it out and replacing it?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hello jpalmero,
You can pull the drive and insert the new drive in the slot and it should work just fine. Now you need to make sure that the drive you are using has EMC firmware on it or it will not get seen. It should take about 5-15 minutes to copy the data to the new drive.
