AX150i-No longer Supported by Dell and EMC

I found out that the AX150i is no longer supported by Dell and EMC. I even purchased an Extended Warranty. Can some please provide images for the first 4 drives to allow me to salvage this boat anchor that no one will support.

Thanks

I know that. I have 6 EMC 250GB drives which were formatted. I was told if I purchased an extended warranty, I could get the OE. After I purchased an EMC extended warranty, EMC tells me that they no longer support the AX150i.

Hello rgiles18,

The system drives are the top 4 drives of the AX 150i from Left to right.  Here is a picture of the drive layout.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

What do you mean with "the OE"? Do you mean the flare (operating system)? This was only available from the factory, so only when the units were being built. Once the units were discontinued there was no way to get this on blank drives if I'm not mistaken.

Without the flare drives, any EMC array (including the CX series that Dell used to offer) is indeed just a boat anchor.

I have the exact same issue. I was told that the support on EMC/Dell products was "Lifetime". I need to download the FLARE which should fall under this lifetime support. For the amount of money spent on this unit i could really use some assistance getting the flare code back on the drives.

But support is not the same as warranty.

Dell's lifetime support can help troubleshoot a problem and then let you know where the problem lies, but unless it is just a configuration issue, fixing the issues isn't covered anymore. In other words; once the warranty expires their support doesn't cover replacing hardware or software.
