Using older catalogs for EOL products
Hi,
I am trying to update some old-gen PowerEdge servers (R515, R720, R815, R82 - I know they're EOL but decommissioning is not up to me) by creating a platform bootable iso.
As these servers are EOL, they have been removed from new catalogs, and older one I can select in DRM is 23.09.01, that already has them removed.
So, is it possible to somehow use catalogs older than this in DRM? In case, how? And is it possible to find which one is the latest that contains the files needed?
For example here there is the CAB catalog of December 2022, but I don't know if/how it could be used by DRM...
Thanks in advance

I couldn't find any older catalogs link. However, I checked DRM for R815 Could you try this version for linux. https://dell.to/4g1gUJF DRM use DUP files which that allows you to create customized bundles and repositories on systems running the Microsoft Windows operating system and Linux Operating system. The customized bundles and repositories are made up of Dell Update Packages (DUPs) based on certain specified criteria.

EDIT: the CAB contains an XML catalog, is it possible to import it in DRM?

Wndf,
The issue you are seeing is due to 12th generation servers and older were removed from the catalog to make room for the newly released systems. Now an easier solution to the issue is to use Repository Manager and Server Update Utility to create a custom catalog to update with, as defined here.
Let me know if this helps.

@DELL-Chris H I have already installed Dell Repository Manager 3.4.4 from here, now as I read from the link you sent that I can use it to create a custom SUU or a bootable ISO.
The issue is that this requires to have a repository that contains updates for 12th gen servers and older, but these are not available in catalogs in "Add Repository/Base Catalog/Index Catalog/Previous Enterprise Servers Catalog". So I have to manually import a file such as the 22.12.30 catalog linked here.
This contains updates for R720 and R820, but not for R515 and R815. Where can I found catalogs that contains information about these machines or how can I create a repository in DRM for them?
And, generally speaking, is there a page that lists older catalogs still available apart from digging in the forum?
Thanks a lot

Hi, please take a look this article https://dell.to/3AGRbX3
I'm not aware of lists for older catalogs. 11G is older generation now.

@DELL-Erman O I tried following the instructions but the systems I'm trying to update are not in the list when I go to "Choose Systems.". And ftp.dell.com has been retired - do you have by any chance a link to some older catalogs? Or if I download all the BINs for a machine from the support page, is it possible to import them in DRM?
