iDRAC Remote usb repository

Hello.

If i dont have any physical access to the server that im uppdating and we are not allowed to to access internet how can i with the idrac update the server?

Because if i mount an usb with the repositry through iDRAC the update manager do not detect the usb, the viritual media makes the usb an viritual disk. Anyone have some tips how to solve this.

Remember i cannot NOT put an usb directly in the server and network update is not working.

Thanks MattiasZ for reaching out to this forum.

Dell Repository Manager helps you to build a bootable ISO with updates from any Linux bundle in a repository. Here is a video on how to build a bootable ISO:

!

After you create a bootable ISO, you can use IDRAC's remote virtual media feature to point to this ISO that will automatically update your server. Here is a video link for configuring IDRAC6 for virtual media:

Hope this method helps.

Well i have already tried that BUT you are writing "updates from any Linux bundle" but on the page below they are saying windows bundle?

I will try with the linux bundle and report back the results.
