"Export to light weight deployment scripts" not aware of locally available DUPs
I have created a repository in DRM v1.5 and I have exported it in full to the file system to make sure I have all the DUPs locally.
Now from the same repository if I export a bundle using "Export to light weight deployment scripts", this job is ignorant of my export-to-disc repository and there does not seem to be a way to reference local DUPs, so this job wants to redownload DUPs.
How do you make jobs "DUPs-available-locally" aware so that it doesn't do unnecessary downloading?

Whenever a DUP is downloaded, it is stored locally in a file system [%localappdata%\RepositoryManager\FileStore] location. It is not stored using the DUP file name in that location, hence it is not traceable with the exact DUP names. For further use of the DUPS, RM will fetch them from this location and will NOT re-download. Below is an example. "Administrator" is the user that we used in this case.

Thanks - I guess after my first download, the subsequent jobs were just retrieving from FileStore instead of going to the Dell ftp site despite the messages.
How do you manage the amount of disk space consumed by FileStore?

There's no such way so that we can control the disk space consumed by FileStore, files may be manually deleted which is not recommended. However, once you delete any repository, it will automatically clean all the relevant DUPs from the FileStore. In case the same DUP is used for another repository in the database, it'll not be removed to avoid re-download.

1st RFE: more control of the location of the FileStore, as BigRedButton posts above.
I am running a small Windows XP VM on Linux solely for RepoManager and now know what was eating the disk space - the VM was exporting to a CIFS share.
2nd RFE: Linux version of RepoManager

Hello,
Previous versions of Repository Manager allowed us to specify a central repository directory, e.g C:\RepoManager. Though previous versions didn't seem to be too smart about not downloading already downloaded files...
With RepoManager 1.5, is there any way for all users of a particular system to use the same Repository path, e.g. C:\ProgramData\RepositoryManager?
The default value of %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\RepositoryManager seems to again encourage multiple downloads of the same files.
Thanks...

We have heard your feedback and made changes to FileStore feature! The next release of DRM will allow you to specify any desired location (another drive or a UNC path) for FileStore. All your files from current location will be moved to the new target.

That's great news, we'll be looking forward to the new feature.
Thanks for listening! :emotion-1:
