Error synchronizing DB with Dell Online Catalog. old version of dell catalog is synchronized.

Hello,

We are using  DRM v2.1 and the current catalog version is v560. Despite the fact that this is the is the current last available dell online catalog, we are receiving a notice in upper left corner that a new dell online catalog is available. If we click on it (or in sync DB with dell online button), an old versión (v530 of 12/2014) of catalog is downloaded and synchronized with local DB.

ftp://ftp.dell.com/catalog/ is accesible with IE11 on DRM server.

We have made some tests like uninstall DRM v2.1 and doing a fresh install of DRM v2.0.0.187 (previous version) and it works well. Issue reoccurs when we upgrade it  to DRM v2.1, and few later a new dell catalog online notice appears in the upper left corner and the old version of catalog (v530) is synchronized with the DB again.

We yet can use local source as catalog and download here a copy of ftp file catalog.cab, but we prefer use dell online catalog like in previous DRM versions.

Could someone help us with this?

Many thanks!

Hi,

We are analyzing your issue, meanwhile can you please try the following steps

Close any instance of DRM in your system, navigate to %localappdata%\RepositoryManager. Take a copy of your Database folder and delete it.  Then start DRM and click on 'New Dell Online' notification.

Please let us know if this solves your issue.

Also can you please let us know the catalog version visible in DRM 2.1 before sync?

Thanks,

Amal

Hi Amal,

Thank you for your reply.

The catalog version visible in DRM 2.1 before sync is v560. See attached file

I have tried to remove local DB on %localappdata%\RepositoryManager and I have clicked on 'New Dell Online' notification. Issue reoccurs again and the old catalog v530 is synchronized again.

Regards.

HI Amal,

After uppgrade to v561 (available 12 NOV) the issue reoccurs.

Initial local DB versión was v560, and final version is v530.
