Disk from Dell Repository Manager does not load completely

I have successfully downloaded Dell repository manager and updated to version 1.7.0.158.  I have create a Linux bundle for my Dell PowerEdge T110 II, however the disk fails stating Error: failure reading sector XXXX from cd0, then it states Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unkown-block(1,0).  Some other forums suggested changing my boot mode from UEFI to BIOS which I did but the disk would not boot at all.

All I am trying to do is upgrade the BIOS on my PowerEdge T110 II and I am finding it extremely difficult to do so.  This is my third attempt at a different way of upgrading the bios but no matter what I do it either won't upgrade or I can't get to the point where I can do so.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Stephen Bailey

Hi,

It looks like after creating the bundle you have created a DTK bootable iso.

From the error stated, it looks like the media on which you burned/created the iso was corrupted.

Request you to re-check the burned iso.

Thanks,

Shashi.

you could try running the disk on a different system to see if it will boot up completely. It will not flash the other system and should tell you its  not for that system, but at least it should get that far. If it does, the disc is probably ok. If it doesn't, I agree that the disc is probably bad. you could also try using a util that converts ISO's to bootable USB keys.
