Continual Repository Manager download failures

I desperately need to upgrade firmware on some servers but the 1.6 or 1.7 versions of Repository Manager keep failing while trying to export to a Linux bootable ISO.  When I look at the details of the job, it shows that the downloads from the repository have failed.  I looked at the log and every download entry fails with with an error similar to this one, "Downloader is not able to verify the signature of 'ftp://ftp.dell.com/FOLDER00928606M/1/2950_ESM_Firmware_4NNNG_LN32_2.50 ".

I have uninstalled and re-installed the Repository Manager.  I have tried back-revving the .Net 4.0 environment.  I tried moving to .Net 4.5.  The results are all the same.  I am using Windows 7 64-bit.

I found an extensive thread from a year ago that described this problem but there was no resolution from Dell.  What can I do to make this work?

With regards,

Tom

Hi Tom,

If no files are able to download, then the failures could be due to configuration of proxy. Dell Repository Manager by default uses the proxy configured on IE. You can change the default setup of proxy from the menu : Application -> Settings -> Default Proxy

If you are sure there is no issue with the proxy servers, please check if you can save a bundle to the disk (Export bundle to new repository and Save the repository to disk). Then you can use the bundle in this repository to build a Linux ISO. Now Repository Manager will use the files from the local drive.

Hope this helps.
